The average annual cost of owning a dog, which includes basic needs such as food, veterinary care, grooming and boarding, is $1,571. That compares with $919 for a cat. Pet Care Aide: Seasonal Full and year round part time availability. Must be detail oriented, responsible and compassionate. Some weekend/holiday hours required. Able to follow directions. Certified Pet Care Technician (CPCT) Required to have at least 30 days training on the job, pass competency evaluations, and Pet Care Services Ass'n (PCSA) CPCT. Additional duties include above plus computerized office records, customer relations, supervise aides, etc. We help you get this certification with study materials and online testing.
